I can see the video fine, however, no offense, would you be able to shoot it from a different angle? Right now you can only see tentacles sticking from the basket and not much more
I know you posted videos at the beginning of the thread showing your fish shed and QT's, but would it be possible to take some photos of the current setup where you are treating it? I think it would be very helpful to understand more in detail as you seem to have success bringing it back to shape.
Have you noticed substantial discoloration since you started dosing with Cipro?
Also, has it always been in that basket from day one?
Not likely, until it is removed from the basket. As mentioned, it's now residing in the DT. It spawned in the QT, which prompted the move. I wouldn't say that I'm out of the woods, just yet. Hopefully, so. =)
I can provide more details. I'll shoot a video of my invert QT. Currently, as mentioned previously, this Gigantea, didn't make it to my invert QT. The reason behind that was because of the 100% water changes. The 7 day treatment, occurred in a very solid styrofoam container, sitting right beside the DT. This allowed for very easy access to new water and removal of the old. The invert QT, is a 20 long with a 10 gallon sump. Completing 100% water changes on it, wouldn't be feasible. Typically, when treating anemone's in it, I do partial water changes (not 100%), or, with the option of a slow drip run-off from the QT and a ATO, to refresh the water removed. This is where being outside, becomes a great asset (zero concerns of spillage). Both QT systems (Fish & Invert) have chillers. So, gradual or small water changes, work well. However, since my RO/DI unit & storage containers are outside (water - 90+ degrees in summer), this would only work if I transferred the newly mixed saltwater to the invert QT, allowed the chiller to cool the water to the necessary temperature and relocated water to the temporary QT location.
I wouldn't say "substantial" and I wouldn't state a clear "cut" determination why, of even any minor bleaching since receipt & treatment. However, I would say there's likely "some" loss of zooxanthellae. If you look at the photo taken by LA, it's not too far off from its current color. Its reasonably light there, with minor blue. If I were to guess, it may be 10-20% lighter, than pictured.
It has been in the basket, since day 1. I treat/acclimate "all" of my anemone, in this manner. It allows me to easily monitor the anemone and remove, if necessary. In addition, denies moving all around the tank during its most critical period.
