Blue Gobiodon okinawae

Does anibody knows abouth that?

I asked for a G.okinawae to a dealer and...surprise! They sent me a blue one. Hope you liked that very strage colour, they said. Is it a G.okinawae? Hybrid? Another species? A rare morph?


I´m so bad doing photos but.....the shape is the same and the colour is dark blue. It spends the whole day dwelling in Acropora.

Are you sure it is definately a okinawae? There are many close species such as Gobiodon strangulatus which i've seen that were jet black or more washed out making them look blue. there are also Gobiodon acicularis and Gobiodon oculolineatus which are very similar.

That´s what i wanted to know. If anybody had heard about a blue okinawae before. After searching that species I think mine is a G.strangulatus.
