We would like to share the results of our recent work describing a popular aquarium coral that has been attributed to the genus Sympodium. In fact, this aquarium coral belongs to the genus Rhytisma. Hopefully our paper will help clarify the differences between these two genera. Just picked up a frag of this coral, it was labeled as Sympodium. I appreciate your clarification and explanation of the difference between the two, and will site your article when posting photos of my frag.
