Blue hadonni and sand

I have a small blue hadonni and someone in my tank keeps getting sand in him. He is on the sand bed and every day I come home I have to spray him with a turkey bastor to blast the sand off him. Will he be ok? I moved him up a little but he keeps coming back to the same place.

It depends on the dimensions of the tank. But a 75+ would be fine for long term results to be good. I housed one in a 12 dlx for a while until he outgrew the tank, and now he is in a 55 long.

The mouth of the carpet is got sand on/in it, should I turkey baste it and blow the sand out? Will it hurt the carpet or can he get rid of the sand on his own?

Its quite normal for sand to get on Haddonis. My blue Haddoni gets sand on it all the time because the female Clarkii that hosts it is always creating a strong current with her tail (she is trying to dig and is REALLY successful at it) right by the Haddoni. The Haddoni gets sand on it occasionally and is not detrimental at all it.
