Blue hippo flashing like crazy

blue tang, yellow tang, coral beauty, firefish, betta in a 36g (best I could do) hospital tank running hypo now for 4 weeks. Havent seen any spots since day 3. sg has been steady at 1.009-1.010. Last nite the tang was flashing like crazy. I tried to get a good look but it was so erratic. Theres a few big pcs of rock in there for them. They are all eating and acting normal till this. Im not sure what to do.

How long has the quarantine been up and running for? Sometimes fish flash like that when they are uncomfortable due to a high ammonia reading. When you do hypo it affects the biological filter a little and it may have a tough time keeping up with that fish load. Can you get a measurement?

Thats the first thing Ive been checking, no ammonia. I have a penguin 250 on the tank. He cant possibly have ich again can he? Im at work and this is killing me here......

Well sometimes my tang flashes to kick up food and eat it in the water column too. Just stick to the hypo. He has lasted this long on it and the parasite wont get a strong foot hold again at that salinity.

No ammonia, came home he's acting normal again, and no spots! What the heck he was doing last nite I have no idea.
Blue tangs have strange personalities I have come out and find my laying sideways out in front of the tank and thought he bite the bullet then he gets up and is back to normal again and mine likes to scratch for no apparent reason
