Hi everyone,
Well we just bought a baby hippo tang 2 weeks ago and he is acting normal, eating, crapping, swimming around like normal so far (other than the occasional rub against the rocks because of the ick). Let me start from the beginning, three days after we purchased Mav, I noticed 2 salt like bumps on his side. I did not want to jump to conclusions and think that it was ick so I decided to keep a close eye on him and watch what happens. A day or so after that, he got stuck against the power head and we thought he was a goner. We dosed him with vita chem and he even started chasing the other fish within an hour of the event. A week after the incident a developed ick (6 spots on one side and 3 on the other). My husband noticed that one side of his stomach is a little larger than the other (the side stuck to the power head). He is eating and swimming around mostly normal, but we were concerned that it could have been because of the power head or possibly overeating? We feed him brine shrimp every other day and feed nori in between. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. (Sorry if I posted this twice, I am a newbie and posted in the newbie section as well just in case)
