Blue Jaw in a 40b

Keep in mind you need a plan to remove the fish, since it will eventually be going into your friend's display tank. It's not fun tearing down a nicely established aquascape to remove a fish, especially if you put it in knowing you'd be removing it.
Also, no matter how much you trust your friend's tank, it would be a good idea to quarantine.

never trust a trigger- they will eat or try to eat anything and everything...

True, even the milder triggers will eat anything. Their "reef-safe" label applies mostly to corals. Any trigger will almost always eat many inverts, maybe just one leg at a time. They will also eat small fish. Keeping triggers well fed will do nothing to prevent this. They are triggers, no matter how much you feed them.

Over time; Blue Jaw, Sargassum, and Cross hatch triggers have gone from being "fairly civilized triggers" to becoming "fairly civilized fish" There is a big difference.
