I am starting a 65 gallon reef tank, and i was wondering if i could add a blue jaw trigger fish to it or will they destroy my corals. If i can add one then will they eat inverts or small fish... what do i need to know about them . I'm getting a lot of different opinions. And is there any other type of trigger i could put in a reef.

As I said in your other thread, it can't go in a tank that small. There are several other triggers that can be kept in a reef, but they all need a larger tank.

vince your tank is just too small. Wait, get fish that can thrive in your size tank. If after keeping fish healthy and learning in the hobby maybe then upgrade to a large enough tank to keep a trigger not just alive but relatively happy. Listen and learn from the experience on these forums that is what they are for. Good luck.

too small a tank, but they don't mess with corals. I had a young female in a reef before she carpet surfed :(. Left the corals alone, but any scallops, shrimp or snails were lunch (she'd even hunt through the rocks for them).
