Blue linckia starfish dying?

Iv had a blue lincla starfish for about a month now and at first it was doing great, moving all around..but then it had a small fuzzy pink fuz. On the outside in the middle but it went away then a few days later it started to look like it was losing its suction cups ..a few days of that and constantly falling and climbing back up the glass it fell today but didn't move after and looked deflated... I went to get it to take it out but it was real stif and still real good color blue so I put it upside down on my rock. But is it dying? Or doing something else?

Tanks been up for about 18 months
120 with a 40 gallon sump
Roller mat filter
1 yellow tang and 2 clownfish
Nitrate is high between 20-40 api test kit

These guys are famous for NOT doing well in home aquaria.

The pink stuff in the middle is its mouth. It works kinda like an airbag that just digest what it's touching.

But on another note, Blue linckia (all linckia and fromia for that matter) are notorious for starving in the home aquarium as their food source is only available in very long established aquariums and even then it doesn't replenish as much as it eats it. The food source is an invisible film algae that you can't really keep tabs on or replace.

Some people get extremely lucky with them, but they're not the best fit for home aquariums unfortunately.
