Blue Line 40x pump question

So I came home yesterday and found my tank water low...switched the pump off then on and it started to pump a little bit of water, but very little. I removed the impeller and it looks a little scratched. Plugged in the pump without the impeller and it runs quiet and smooth. My question here is, should I spend $60 to replace the impeller with hopes that it works or just replaced it?

Thanks
Bill

I would personally probably go new but if your buying the same pump you can pull the impeller out of the new one and see if it works in the old one. Maybe make it a back up pump later.

I'm thinking the same...just buy a new one and save some frustration and guessing. Thanks bro!

If the scratch is on the shaft part of the impeller, it may be the cause? I used some ultra fine sandpaper under water and got the pump to last a year or so more? Worth a try if it has an impeller like an MJ1200?

I may try that to see if it does any good and use it as a backup. In the meantime I'll be searching for a new pump.
