Hi,
I will be using a Blue line 55 external pump for my return pump and what to install a valve to control the flow if i need it.

It it ok to just restric flow by turning the valve a bit or do i have to put a T to divert some flow bakc to the sump.

Would it be bad for the pump ?

I just tought i read somewhere that you can restrict flow on some pressure rated pumps.
So then i should put a valve on the return line( after the pump)on the tubing after the T going into the sump?

I have the same pump, so that is what I did to slow flow to tank I still have the valves if I choose to use them but they are in full open position. I regulate flow by using the valve on the bypass T back to sump.

Ok so then you have valves before and after the pump too? I already have a true union valve between the sump and pump. I think i'll put another one after the pump to be able to service it easily. And then another valve on the tube going back to the sump. Does this sound right?
