Blue line angel primer

I have one coming in tomorrow and I know several others have them. Would like to hear any and all experiences with them as far as food fed, QT, how long did you QT, did you treat for anything while in QT? How long have you had yours? What corals if any do they eat for those who want or did attempt in a reef tank? Any information is better than no information, and there isn't a lot on here... Please post pics of yours. I will post a pic tomorrow of mine

I got mine from DD as a small adult about 1.5 years ago. I QT'd in my 29 gallon for 6 weeks. I used Prazi and didn't notice any signs of any disease so I released him in my DT that had a couple tangs and a Majestic Angel. He took to food right away and will eat everything. I feed LRS Frenzy foods along with NLS Spectrum pellets and a variety of flake food, eats all. In the tank I had SPS, Euphyllia and zoas. He never touched the zoas or Euphyllia but would nip at the SPS every once in a while, no harm done though. He gets along great with the Majestic who is the same size. Slow grower, has only gained an inch or so in the 1.5 years. Great fish though, very healthy. I'll have to get some pics later.

Knowing your rep, you won't have any issues.

Thanks for sharing. Mine came in looking really good and is already interested in the mysis and few pellets I put in the tank. I will be turning more lights on in a hr or two for the next feeding so I'm sure that she is eating. Not a great picture but that's the best I could do with a fish in one hand and my iphone in the other...

I think this is a great thread ...especially to me personally!. As well as input on care and maintenance I would love to see pictures of any fish people may have in their systems! I've alway been known as an Anthias man but this fish has really intrigued me!

I have had a 5'' adult blue line for about 3 months. It took him some time for him to feel comfortable in my dt. He was a very shy eater for the first month, and still now does not accept all foods. The only food he really goes crazy for is sea weed pellets.

He picks at my LPS and clams, but I have not noticed him touching any SPS.

I know adults are more finicky eaters and some adults only take to zoas for the first few months before taking to prepared foods. Juveniles and smaller specimens don't seem to be nearly as picky and take to prepared foods rather quickly. Mine was eating within a hr of being out of the bag

Over 6 years ago my big one came in at 8". I thought it was doomed, but ate Hikari mysis within 2 weeks and has never stopped eating them Although it wasn't until about 2 months ago that he ate anything but mysis. Now he eats Flakes and is about 10". The smaller ones have eaten everything since juvi's.

My baby from LADD ate pellets from the get go. Now still eats anything, and is about 4".

My blue line was put straight into CP and started eating as though it was put in a established reef tank so I'm confident to say that CP has no negative impact on juv angels feeding habits or acclimation. Butterflies included, the yellow face I got along with the blue line are in the 75g together

If NYA still has these a week from now I'm going to try for another one and see how the pairing goes, especially if they are on sale still.
