Blue Milli help

For the past few months after getting a nice frag of blue milli it has stayed brown and dull and wont color up for the life of me nor showing any growth. My nutrients are on the higher side NO3 2-5 ppm and PO4 0.05-.09, but with that said, the rest of my sps look great, and ive seen tanks with higher nutrient loading that look colorful.

I have it in a 40b, mid level, radion pro @ ~50% power and rather close to my powerhead (mp40).

Any tips suggestions or ideas are appreciated.

Sounds like you know what your doing. Got a pic? Some brown pieces have taken months for me to see any color. Hang in there

I think I had red bugs but I have already treated twice with interceptor, hte PE is amazing but the color is eh. I will try to get a pic later tongiht.

Have you tried a spot with more light? I have a Palmers blue mille and it seems fine in my high nutrient tank, and mid lighting, it does look purpleish blue though with my reefbreeder LED.

I did, and it was brown so i moved it down. I had a blue palmer milli before, I lost it moving but yes it loved high light with a nice metallic shimmer. I would love to obtain one again!

Do you have a photo of your tank that you could share?

I had one about mid level in my tank for about a year and it did ok but never the color I saw when I placed it up high. For some reason it seems as though blue acros love to be up high or at least it worked for my on my tenius and mille

Po4 is high I would try and bring it down to 0.03 or 0.01 but not lower then that. Also dosing lugios will help with the blue color just don't over do it. Also in my experiences blue Sps like high light.

Brown corals generally mean high nutrients or not enough light. My millies are light lovers. I keep them at the top(w/ LEDS @65%/45%) with good results. I don't think your nutrient levels are the issue. Yeah, they are a little above what some people think is ideal, but IMO, they aren't a problem.

How long ago were the treatments in correlation to the blue milli loosing color.

The milli never had color, for the last 9 months has been brown. I tried interceptor since I have seen red bugs on other SPS, but its been 2-3 weeks and nothing changed in the milli. It does have some new growth, very slight and very slowly but these growths have are more blue than the rest, albeit still to brown.

I finally tested my Po4 after not having reagent for 3 weeks and it registered at 0.03 ppm with my No3 @ 2 ppm.
