Will the blue color fade easy? Is this a plating montipora?

I had one of those before it was consumed by Montipora nudis. In the right light and when well fed mine stayed a nice dark purple with brilliant blue polyps and yellow around those raised edges. Too much light or if I stopped feeding reef roids and it would bleach badly, seemed really finicky.

The polyps formation on it reminds me more of a Monti the a scroll coral. Scroll corals have polyps on the bumps. This has polyps in between the bumps like a monti from what I can see on my phone. I didn't know where was a blue scroll either, sounds sweet. Thoes things grow slow from the start let alone weird colored ones.

The blue plating monti is very finicky and thats why you don't see many around. Most brown out!.

The one above looks like the blue porites…. look up reef farmers space invader porites

Mo

That's another option I was thinking it could be, if its porites I would die for a piece! :). Either way its pretty sweet.

I'm going to double down on encrusting monti, even though it appears to be something else. :D The raised bumps are filter feeders that the monti has encrusted around.

Here was a closeup of mine before I lost it.
