Blue mushroom attaching

I got a couple of very pretty blue/teal mushrooms at my local club meeting last night but they wernt attached to anything, so i put them on rocks and put a rubber band across and around them to keep them stuck to the rocks, is this the prefered method of attaching loose shrooms or is there a better way?
Thanks
Ryan

I've always used superglue, or simply put it on a rock or rubble in a low flow area. Always worked for me.

my hermits and snails will dislodge anything not attached in some way. You guys think it wont attach itself after being held down long enough with rubber band?

From my experiences with the blue/teal mushrooms that are a PITA to get mounted, they are still unmounted and just sit on my sand bed :(. My speckled green mushrooms that I have attach easily to rubble/sand/etc and from there I can just super gel glue them down to rocks and so on.

As for the rubber band method, it sucked for me too. I did it and the shroom kept slipping out so I made sure it was tight... ended up attaching one of the mushrooms and cutting the other one in half over time. Whoops. But they all recovered and now I have three of them, 2 unattached.

Glueing the mushrooms itself to a rock will not work because they produce slim and will simply detach. If you can get them to attach to the rock with rubberbands then leave it, but it might take a long time... but then again this is reefkeeping--- everything takes a long time. lol.

Oh yeah Ryan, I think I saw you bidding on the speckled green mushrooms I had at the auction, if you want a frag I can give you it for way less then what it went for. ;)
