Blue on picassos?

They have an almost irradescent blue coloring all along the border of any white on the clowns? Has anyone ever seen this?
 
IMO and from my observation, it is due to the white scale on top of of the base part of the black scale. Nothing more than that.

It's only around the rim wherever black meets white on the fish so I guess that would explain it. So it's basically an illusion? I'm had snowflakes before but all have been juvenilles. This is the first time I started with very large breeding pair. So I'm guessing the blue becomes more noticeable with age. I'm hoping they will spawn within the first month or two. I've dropped the salinity, raised temp to 82, and am feeding as much as they'll eat whenever I walk by the tank.
