blue or black background...which color makes SPS stand out more?

i work in the VFX industry and we view all kinds of color and artwork on both a %50 gray and a full black background.

if you want to see vibrance, i would choose black. if you want to see edges and shapes i would go for a grayish background.
 
i have black. my wife has blue. her tank is brighter as far as a glow, but mine shows my color and crispness in both the corals and in the fish. you will not get a compliment on the black. everybody will say how pretty the blue is. i know from experience! i chose black after seeing a 60g cube sps that would have looked better in black. since i was going to have the same sorta tank, i chose black of course. i don't regret it at all.

i have even seen one in purple! my brother in law. boy i rag him all the time about how girly it looks!!!!!!
