what are advantages of blue props?
I have two 6055 in a 75 mixed reef.

I still have one newer 6055 that runs louder that my older used 6055.

The blue prop is made from a new plastic that is more durable than the original black plastic.

The 6065's are AC pumps, and can start in reverse when turned on. The anti-reverse feature on these pumps requires the prop starting in reverse to strike the the inside front cover of the pump, restart in the opposite direction, thus reversing the direction of flow.

My 6065's are a couple of years old, both the prop tips and the front covers are chipped up, thus it's possible for the pump to run in reverse when I turn it back on after feeding my fish.

I hope to replace these pumps with a pair of 6205's, but until I get a little more cash put together the 6065's need to serve... thus the need for blue props.
