i have three blue reef chromis, one cannot be located(i have a tight lid so i know ita didnt jump)ive noticed one in the back lower corner of my tank which is unusual and i think that it may be standing watch for another hiding in the rocks,is this a possibe spawning behavior or a deathwatch

More info needed to answer this one. My chromis are strange. Some hide until its feeding time, others swim around all the time. If the tank has lots of other fish, they tend to come out much more. If they are the only fish, they tend to hide. If you cant locate one, and it doesnt come out during feeding time, its probably dead. Havent heard of that behavior from spawning, let alone spawning in a tank from them. But mine do sleep in corners at night.

Blue Chromis note -

I purchased 5 to have a small "school".
I have 2 left.
The dominant one of the group pested the others until they were killed.
And he's still an azz to the remaining chromis many times at observation.

This is apparently a common issue between themselves.
It is not a problem with other tank mates.
