Blue Reef Chromis

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with blue reef chromis (chromis cyaneus). By reading up on them, I'm curious whether 3 would shoal in a 29 gallon cube? Tank inhabitants I'm considering - but not fully decided on - would be a tomato clown, yellow clown goby, and either another goby or blenny that would be a bottom-dweller.

They get rather large for a 29 gallon at 6 inches. I once bought a group of 5, 4 inch specimens. They first killed all my green chromis within 24 hours, then proceeded to kill each other off. I ended up with one specimen left, and returned him to the LFS. He now lives in a 1000 gallon store reef display where he swims with a shoal of Lyretail, bartlett's, hutchii, and other anthias, as well as many green chromis (at least 20). In that tank he is a model citizen.
Personally, I wouldn't put a blue chromis (or any damsel for that matter) in a tank that small. I would also put a smaller type of clown versus the tomato (they are one of the most aggressive species).

bought two large, two small for a 125g about 8 months ago.

all four are doing fine. minimal aggression.

But yes, they do grow big. In a 29g three would likely be trouble.
