the store is called Incredible pets in the bel-air shopping center on manzanita (near the roundtable in the parking lot, too bad our meetings aren't at this roundtable, its a 15 min walk from my house!)

its a blue and yellow ribbon eel with neat frilly things on it nose and it swims with its mouth open, the sucker was like 2 feet long bit only about and inch wide.

really cool looking fish!!!! so pretty.

i have NEVER seen one before so i thought i would mention it incase it was of intrest to anybody

(i know nothing about these guys andnow i am very interested as ita fish i'd like to have if i can keep it)

Beautiful, but from what I've read Ribbon Eels do not live long in captivity. It's very hard to get them to eat.

I kept one for 2 years. I fed it live crabs that I got at the beach in Santa Monica. They were the grey sand crabs that you dig up as the surf goes out. I would go foraging for them like one or twice a month. He eventually moved over to other foods but the key to keeping the tough ones can sometimes be determination and creativity. After all that work one day my Tesselata eel just decided he was in the mood for a blue treat and that was that. If he does eat for you, keep in mind it will be your inverts he most likely will eat first.
