Blue Spot Jawfish

I think this topic has been posted before but can anyone tell me if I'm wasting my time getting one of these blue spot jawfish. So far i havent had any luck.
What do they need to live in captivity or should they be left in the ocean?
I ereally like these fish and have a 300 gallon reef to put him in.

This is correct. Bluespot jawfish come from the Gulf of California, which is a coldwater area. Sadly, long term temperature change doesn't bode well with fish species. I would recommend a yellowhead jawfish (O. aurifrons) in place of the bluespot.
