blue spotted jawfish

I have a 40 gallon cube reef tank that is just a year old. My wife wants to add a blue spotted jawfish and I think they are cool, I just worry about our by- color blenny... Will he bother him since he has been in the tank for a while and they have a similar body shape? Any input would be welcome before I get a $100 fish. Thanks

Yes, as steelersfan suggests, they are prolific jumpers and very expert at getting out. Egg crate will not begin to keep them in.

Bsjf are great there should be no problem at all with the blenny. Watch the tank for a few hours after you put it in. If your getting him at your lfs make sure he is burrowing there and also the tank lid is the key. If there are bigger fish in the tank than him he may feel threatened and jump. Mine made the jump through a half centemeter hole after two years. A deep sandbed can also calm them down, mine was almost five inches. Once acclimated they are very hardy.

they should have a sand bed and some rocks, they will dig their own hole and retreat for awhile.
You must cover your tank, its a pro jumper, if there's a way out of the tank, they will eventually jump out of it.

Good luck, it is one of the coolest fish you can buy.
