The bf and I have a bluespot in the main display tank. The coral beauty, 4 line wrasse, and blue damsel all play nice with him. It's actually funny to see the damsel steal rubble rock from the jawfish and deposit it halfway across the tank, and then watch the jawfish get up the courage to go out there and get this rock back. lol. The coral beauty angel would go and flash it's fins at the jawfish for the first few days until the jawfish got comfortable enough to defend his territory from the bigger fish. Since then, there's been no issues. The four line wrasse and the jawfish were added at the same time, and there hasn't been any issues at all between those two fish.
We had a starry blenny in the tank when we put this jawfish in, and they started to fight within minutes. Needless to say, the starry blenny was evicted to the LFS because I was not going to lose a $100 fish. So I'd be careful putting a jawfish in with fish that look similar to him or fall into the blenny/goby families.
When my bf's pair of clowns were in the main tank, we also had a blue spot jawfish. The clowns didn't bother the blue spot at all. Unfortunately, he jumped out of a tiny space between the glass tops and the back rim of the tank. So definitely make sure the top of your tank is "jumper-proof" before you'd get one. We definitely fixed the open space issue at the top of the tank before adding the jawfish or the wrasse, because we've had a six line wrasse jump out of that same space as the jawfish did.
Other than that, I'd definitely recommend getting one. They have such a great personality, and are one of those hidden treasures that people love to "discover" when they come over to see our tank.
