blue spotted jawfish

This is the one fish that I like alot but have finally conviced myself not to get anymore. I have gone through four. Originally i had a glass cover over my tank with one corner missing for my overflow. He/she eventually found it and jumped out. The second one found his/her way out through my screen that i made enclosing my canopy. The third one disappeared. Don't know if the sand caved in on him or whether he died and the hermit shrimps got an expensive dinner that night or maybe.... just maybe he is still in there and i just can't see him. The fourth and last one jumped out when my screen fell down during the day while i was at work. They are cool little guys, but I guess they don't feel the same about me.

sorry for all your losses! i have one and he's doing great! never any jump attempts! these are great fish in my opinion and you should give it another try!

How long have you had this one? I hear the long term survival rate is not good (even with covered tanks)

I have had one for a little over a year. Great personality and one of my favorites.

I saw a really healthy specimen last week for $75. But walked away, thinking it would die from some jawfish disease or jump. Plus I already have a watchman /pistol shrimp combo digging in my tank.
