Blue Squammies?

A couple of years ago a few popped up. Now I never see any. Where are they?

there were just a couple for sale last week online, one was $800 and the other smaller for $600. would be nice but i'm not paying that much for 4" clam.

I ahve one that came in the country about 4 years ago. it is beautiful, about 8" long now. I first seen a picture of one in the early 90s was told it was a maxima? I knew that it wasn't, shell was not elongated at all, wanted one ever since, One of the meany jems of the world we live in.

theres heaps over here is australia i could get you 20 lol but for a clam that is only 2 inches long we are paying $250

its not always the way these ones are aquacultured and are the only lfs in the state i live in that can get them so they pretty much name there price

My suggestion is upload them to photobucket.com, which will resize them for you to a size of your choosing (ie. 640x480) automatically at upload time. Then you can link to those pictures from RC. They even give you the text to copy into forums so that the pictures show up inline in posts. (And it's free to setup an account there.)

Want one of these so badly. Everytime I come across some alleged blue squammies though, they're maximas (still nice, just not a blue squamosa).

Utterly dismayed to see they're going for $800 a pop now ... Unless prices come down I guess I can put them on the list of "things I will never own."
