Blue Starfish

Hello, I have recently aquired a blue starfish. I have been told that it feeds off the tank and doesn't require anything, however I am interested to know whether I should be adding anything to the tank for it or not.

If it's a blue Linckia, the diet is unknown, and it probably won't eat anything that you add.

try placing a small bit of clam meat under or near him. then keep an eye on him and see if he eats it ( and not some other inhabitant ) as you've said he should be able to enough food on his own, but as a treat he should gobble up a bit of clam.
