Does anyone have any of the blue/ purple encrusting/plating soft stuff they sold at the old aquarium concepts?

I think the guys name was jesse "had curly hair and allways walked around with a headset on" anyways..
He said they were frags from his tank and they had a large amount of 5" frags that were sold about 5-6 years ago in long strips just wondering if anyone has any of this stuff?

It would grow out in soft squishy plates very rapidly

Or if anyone knows the actual name of this "stuff" I would greatly appreciate it!

It might of even been some form of a sponge?!?! or a fungi???

thanks

matt

If you are talking about that stuff that was in the display more or less halfway between the front door and the marine fish sale tanks, I'm almost certain that was a type of sponge.

Thanks!

Thanks!

yeah thats the tank!

He fragged off a bunch of pieces of that sponge and was selling it on one of

the small display tanks and I bought a frag of it and it grew out pretty cool

looking .. I have since sold that tank like 6 years ago and was wondering if

anyone might still have some. I suppose some people might consider it

nuisance because it grows so fast but I allways liked it..

thanks for the pm's everyone I will try some of those sources!

Jessie was like a mad scientist!!! He was quite the character.

lol Yes he was .. He said to my jealous wife one time .. "Your alot prettier than the chick he was in here with a few weeks ago" lol all I can say is I am glad he told her he was joking.. That place was full of interesting individuals I told my 70 y.o mother about the place and we went and had lunch then headed over there. When she walked in there that older guy who allways seemed drunk and crabby turned into the silver tongued devil lol he went and got a chair for her to sit in and got her coffee I was in shock. I allways had fun goin there..

I wonder what happened to that old mermaid aquarium they had in the bathroom I offered to buy it and the owner said its not for sale.. it was almost what you would call a rimless tank but it had brass mermaids in each corner.. Very cool vintage piece!

Derek at Tanks A Lot used to work with Jesse and might be able to give you some information.
I'd like to hear from Jesse again. I miss talking to him.

I used to have some of that blue stuff too, but like you, it went when the previous tank went. I hope you find some.
