Does blue sympodium spread as quickly and relentlessly as GSP? Or is it a little less likely to take over a tank? Also, has anyone had success keeping it with large angels?

I have had a harder time getting sympodium to speed at all than it overtaking. I have heard from others that it prefers higher light than you would expect for a soft coral, and being exposed to air when doing water changes. I would assume this might be accurate as in the wild the are found on coastal reefs being exposed for hours when tides recede.

Interesting. Thanks for the info! Maybe I could get it growing along the top of the back wall then.

The blue sympodium I had was a pretty undemanding coral overall, but it did seem to do the best with both moderate lighting & flow. It was an extremely slow grower and kind of a bugger to frag as well. Even with the use of super glue gel it would always find a way to come undone. GL.
