Blue tang behaviour

HI,

I have a large blue tang that has quite the personality. She loves to pick shells/anything up and swim around with it in her mouth and then drop it. she thinks it quite the game. But recently she has been picking things up and using them to scratch my aquarium glass . I have seen her do it, she will pick up a shell or rock and swim at the glass and push the rock onto the glass as she does it, you can even hear it scraping sometimes. Needless to say my glass has quite some scratches on it. I have tried to remove anything she can pick up to use but she somehow finds more

my question is, is this normal for a blue tang? is she just weird? and is this behaviour a sign of anything or is it just her having fun? she is my first blue tang so i dont know what is normal or not. Also if you have any fish doing similar odd things i would love to hear i think fish with personalities rule

I have a Vlamingi tang that picks up hermit crabs that are in her cave and drops them off outside. Have also seen a hippo tang do the same. The fact that it is picking up shells doesn't seem odd but never heard of them rubbing the sides.

Hmm yeah se used to just pick things up and move them having fun but lately she has started doing the scraping them on the glass thing XD she doesnt seem distressed or anything she seems like she is having fun. but like i said i am new and this is my first blue/hippo tang so i dont know

my blues dont really pick up things, they bite around on the leathers though
