I have a 160 gal reef tank with a multitude of coral and one sea star and about 4 fish currently. My blue tang added a week ago is showing signs of ich. I reduced the salt down to 1.022 before adding it but it still got ich. I need to know what to do as to weather to move it into quarantine and to medicate it or if that'll just stress it more and just leave it in the tank for the ich to live out its life... I set up my quarantine about a month or two back its got a canister. Ammonia is 0.2 and ph is 8.2 and salt is 1.025. I don't have any medicines yet but I can purchase them. The tang is huge, about 15cm it's very big and has about 30 or so spots which sounds like a lot but doesn't cover much of his body. My mum adores the fish... I just want to do what's best for him. My dad took out the steriliser around when the fish was added and I only added it back on yesterday, could that fix things back up? None of the other fish are showing any signs of ich yet.
Thanks so much for any help. And it's not my first time keeping a fish and I know how to treat it I just want help for my specific case. Thanks guys
