Blue tang with ich

I have a 160 gal reef tank with a multitude of coral and one sea star and about 4 fish currently. My blue tang added a week ago is showing signs of ich. I reduced the salt down to 1.022 before adding it but it still got ich. I need to know what to do as to weather to move it into quarantine and to medicate it or if that'll just stress it more and just leave it in the tank for the ich to live out its life... I set up my quarantine about a month or two back its got a canister. Ammonia is 0.2 and ph is 8.2 and salt is 1.025. I don't have any medicines yet but I can purchase them. The tang is huge, about 15cm it's very big and has about 30 or so spots which sounds like a lot but doesn't cover much of his body. My mum adores the fish... I just want to do what's best for him. My dad took out the steriliser around when the fish was added and I only added it back on yesterday, could that fix things back up? None of the other fish are showing any signs of ich yet.
Thanks so much for any help. And it's not my first time keeping a fish and I know how to treat it I just want help for my specific case. Thanks guys :)

first off, 1.022 will do nothing for Ich. you may be thinking of Hyposalinity treatment, but that requires <1.011 (closer to 1.008/9 is needed) for 4 weeks, and even that is iff'y compared to other treatments.

Unfortunately, now that your DT has been exposed to Ich, it is there to stay as long as you have fish in it. the only way to get rid of Ich completely is to remove ALL of your fish, treat them outside of your DT, and while doing that you need to leave your DT fallow/fishless for at least 72 days.

treatment for the fish, I recommend using Tank Transfer Method (TTM), and then putting them in a clean tank (i.e. no Ich present) for the duration of the DT fallow period.

the UV sterilizer will do nothing for Ich either, other than for the few parasites that make there way through it, but will likely only be a tiny fraction of the population.

this is your best method if your goal is to eradicate Ich completely.

With only 4 fish, fallow and TTM are your best option.

I would also get rid of that tang - 160 gallon is not enough for this fish long term

I do agree with what everyone said, but in my case either 72 days was not long enough, or I contaminated something. I seriously doubt it was the latter, but you might want to fallow the tank a bit longer. Good luck!
