So today come home and my blue throat was in his new hiding space in my new 120 but I noticed his eyes were cloudy and realized he was dead. So I did an immediate ammonia test and registered almost 1.0 so I immediately put prime in and tested it after and now its not registering any all. and i just did a 20 gallon water change the other day.
So now the tank is a transfer from a 65. I test everything else and they were normal ph 8, alk 8 calcium (little low 420) 0 nitrates, 0 nitrate 0 phosphate. could the dead dead blue throat cause the ammonia spike or did the tank do a mini cycle which I was afraid might happen.
thoughts, revelations or flames?
