Blue throat trigger question

I have a male blue throat, at least I thought it was. He's about 3" and when I bought it he had a nice blue throat, I thought he was male. It has now lost most of his blue color, could it possibly be a female

are there any other fish that could possibly be bullying it...my male turned female coloration because of a niger trigger that was in with it.

my male lost a bit of coloration over time in my aquarium, but after adding a female he reacquired his color, and now it is better than ever.

sounds like your male went female...it happens, especially if not kept in a pair...or agree with Mike- somebody was bothering it...

They don't typically truly go female; they just go to a female coloration. Typically, if you add a female bluethroat, they'll regain the original colors.
