Blue Throat trigger question

I got a pair of Blue Throats back about a month ago. The female died within an hour of going in the tank. The male never came out of hiding and never touched a piece of food. I pulled him out and have him in my fuge/sump and am hand feeding him to try and get his health back. I don't know if he will ever adapt, so I picked up a Blue Throat yesterday from a fellow local reefer. He his out swimming around all day and eating like a pig already. My question is. If I ever get the other to take, do you think it is possible to have 2 males in the same tank?

I don't know about the two males together...but keep hand feeding the fussy male. If you are getting food into him, he will eventually come around. And don't underestimate how much these guys can eat! They will eat until their bottom fin sticks downward.

it took mine several weeks to come around. Now he spits water at me when i am about to feed. Will also eat out of my hands.

I have tried two male by mistake before they do not get along very well... Buti think it really depends on the size of your tank..

i think they may get along in a 240 gal...you can always take one out if they start to fight

very nice tank by the way...love your aquascaping and ricordia and chromis & anthias schools :)

do your ricordia take over the tank?

I tried a clam in a half shell for the fussy trigger and he polished it off. Hopefully this will bring him around. I think they might both do ok in the display seeing how the tank has a footprint of 8'x3'.
