Blue tip sebae anemone, expert opinion please

The attached picture is of my new sebae anemone, 48 hours into the tank. I should start out by saying that a happy sebae anemone is something I've always desired in my reef tank, it's #1 on my want list and has always been #1. While the picture shows a relatively healthy sebae anemone, the anem doesn't seem willing to open up fully. It kind of shelters itself under the shade of a live rock in the corner of my 4 month old 150 gallon tank (with 40 gallon refug). My tank uses Radion XR30w LED Lights (3 systems), programmed using Shallow Reef (Natural) based off the daily PAR values from the Sipadan Islands. My SPS acros absolutely love the shallow reef LED program, never seen them healthier. Ok, back to the Anemone, it has anchored onto a rock just off the sand bed, the LEDs are 10 inches above the water surface and the Anem is at 21 inch depth from the tanks surface, where it has over 3 inches of sand bed below it. I have not tried to feed the Anem yet and my 2 Nemo clowns are hosting my Frogspawn. My concern is lighting, as the Sipadan Islands LED program hits mid-day intensity the anem seem to cower more under the shade of the rocks. Should I lower the LED setting for the side where the Anem is located? I was really hoping to see it fully open by now.. My water parameters are of this morning and are: pH 8.1-8.2, Temp 78.5 degrees, Ca 430 ppm, Alk 8 dKH, Mg 1280, NO3- below API kit detection, Phosphate/NH4+/NO2- (no kit detection of any kind).

If there are any experience sebae experts out there, please let me know what you think..

I should also add that I use 2 ecotech marine wave makers, set at level 3 for the lagoon setting. it provides medium water flow to the anem.

I would say if you could correlate him balling up to midday intensity then you probably answered your own question and need to dial things back for a while on that part of the system until he acclimates better.

The one I have did that also. He would shy from the full light by adjusting his placement. Now, after a few months he positions himself for as much light as possible. You could lower the lights and bring them up over a few weeks, or just let the nem figure it out. I would worry if he hides completely from the light, definately lower it then.

Yours does look bleached, the final color will be much more dynamic.
