This may sound silly, so I will apologize in advance. Is there a difference between a blueberry seafan and a blueberry gorgonian?

Sea fan is a common name for gorgonians that have interconnected (fan-like) branching. Gorgonians is a common name for the entire family of corals. So short answer is no.

Everyone classifies them as (Acalycigorgia Sp.) but thats actually not an accepted taxa.

Thank you noy! I guess I was just wondering if there was a variation that could be kept more successfully. My mom recently put one in her seahorse tank and it is beautiful but I'm afraid I wouldn't have much success with one.

I really don't know if the variations are different species or simply color variations. But as far as i know they are all equally difficult.
