Finally it is over!



I made it to 4 games this year, don't sound to bad but I am a full season ticket holder

LOL Out of that four how many of those were winners.. Did you have a better record with them, than they had themselves?
 
Let's see I saw them get shut out by the Penguins, they won on McInnis night, lost the season opener (I think) and lost the other game. So no I think we were about even. :)

Hopefully the new owner will get some players, get rid of Ketchen he was a good interim for Joel, but should of never been a head coach. I am sure his hands were tied along with the rest of the front office because of Laurie. I used to be a Blues fanatic but when the lock-out happened that was the last straw. I think that really hurt the NHL and it is going to take a few years to get the fans trust back. I can honestly say that I did not watch at all this year.

The sport is better now, IMO, but they could have done it all without the lockout! I think the Lauries did the Blues wrong this season and are the main people to blame for it. They missed out on one of the best free agent markets the NHL has ever seen. They were never hockey fans and I think mainly bought the team to try to use the Savis center for a NBA team. It will be an interesting next few years and I plan on renewing my tickets as long as the price doesn't go up. I have a feeling the Checketts group will do some house cleaning. They will also have plenty of cap space if they choose to use some of it.
 
my good friends brother got drafted to the blues as a goalie.... he has to finish up college, then by that time he should be ready to play :D

right now he is playing for Maine
 
Ben Bishop is his name. extremely good player in the goalie aspect

he graduated from chaminade, playing varsity there, and varsity for the texas tornadoes for one year.

now he is in main for 2 more years, then hopefully the BLUES!

He made do with what he had to work with. Hard to tell what he could do with a good team. However, I'm pretty sure we won't know. He won't be back. I missed only 2 televised games and 4 or the 6 (I think) games that were only on the radio.

Have had a lot of great years. Gotta take the good with he bad.

I agree they missed out BUT they weren't in the position to even LOOK at free agents. When they got it narrowed down to 3-5 prospecitive buyers, not a SINGLE one wants to walk in with any type of long term deal or high priced players. If you are selling something, wouldn't you do what is in your power to sell the product/service you are selling? The majority of the high end free agents that were out there at that time...good luck getting them to a one year deal...
The only reason we still have drake is because we have plenty of draft picks. Keith has a no trade but it wasn't worth our wild to even try...I work with a guy who doesn't understand getting rid of Pronger??? He IS great but it just wouldn't work.

I'll take the 25 playoff years and 1 bad year any day of the week!

it's hard to get fans in the seats when you can't win and raise ticket prices the year back from a lockout.

but they did win more games this year than they did last year!
 
They still have TK because he's going to be relatively cheap next year. His cap hit will decrease next year.
