Vlamingi?
If so they grow big and very fast. I had a 2" specimen which grew to 8" in 1yr. He was in my old 800g tank. The lavender spots were beautiful and he was pretty docile
Mine have gone from small juveniles to around 14-15" in about 2.5 years. Growth was extremely rapid within the first year (to 12" or so), and has slowed considerably since.
Here's a pic of mine from November 2015
And another from this morning - apologies for the grainy phone pic -
O. niger in this one is about 4" for size reference.
For the most part they are very laid back and usually just cruise around, following one another around the pool. Every now and then they will make a quick lap around the perimeter, and I'm always amazed at the burst of speed they can achieve when doing so!
It's relatively small as far as pools go (10' round, and just under 1500 gallons including the sump) . I guess that does make a difference in terms of growth (can feed a lot without having any detectible effect on water quality). I've currently been feeding 5 full sheets of nori daily along with NLS pellets, macro from the sump, and various frozen foods. I would say the unicorns get a whole sheet of nori each along with the other foods. They are always one of the first fish that people comment on when they see the pool. I'm usually not one for naming fish, but my wife points them out to visitors as Mr. and Mrs. Narwhal (from the movie "ELF"), although I suspect that they are both likely female.
