Very nice shots. I have a Yellowhead Jawfish that I absolutely love; hopefully you will get the same satisfaction out of yours. What camera and lens were you using to take these?

Very nice pics. A friend let me borrow his Canon 30D to take some pictures of the tank. Can you let me the following if you remember:

How far from the tank?
Type of lighting you have?
What temperature setting you used on camera?
What lense?
Shot in RAW and then processed?
Shuttter speed?

Sorry for so many questions but trying to get the hang of this camera to see if I want to buy one or not and its a bit frustrating.

Thanks

Nice pics.

One word of warning these fish are jumpers. I had one in my tank for all of around 3 days before I found him under it :(

gindobuck,
Are they hard to take care of depends on your husbandry skills for the most part. As long as they are provided with a deep enough sandbed they can burrow in and are not with fish that are too aggressive they can last a long time. They will burrow until they are happy and content which can mean redecorating your sandbed for you in places you don't like.
I would help mine by dropping in pieces of crushed shell and rock fragments and for hours he would entertain me be picking and choosing the pieces he wanted to use. A few things to note is that they are jumpers! If your rock is not on the acutal bottom of your tank or on pvc they seem to find a way to make it tumble. They are not aggressive at all and shoudl be kept with similar non aggressive fish. They can show aggression by opening their mouth really wide, but seem to run if that does not work. I had a Yellowheaded Jawfish for over a year before my clowns started spawning and then they seemed to attack everything in the tank. Eventually he disappeared in my tank as they would not let him burrow and I could not get him out the tank.

I'm pretty sure you can keep multiple pearlys/yellowheads in the same tank, provided there is ample shelter, correct?

Can you keep two bluespots together, or will they fight?

Very cool fish and great pics.
