Bluethroat triggers...making a pair

Well i went to the LFS today and they had a bluethroat male and a bluethroat female, they were in different tanks but i knew they would make a great pair, the female is smaller then the male and she definitely is a female, she wants to pair up with him but he is being stubborn, will he show her any signs of aggression until he realizes she is a female? or is this going to be a big problem?

here are some pics by the way...

I say let them duke it out they will figure it out. I added a male and a female and within a few days they started hanging out etc. Seem to like each other fine now...

alright i just wanted to make sure, it looks like the male is just trying to say this is my territory but the female is just trying to say i like you lol, different terms like always haha

I wish i could help but when i got my two they were inseperable from the start. These fish never leave each others site!

my guess is the female is about 3.5" and the male is about 5", also i have been waiting on getting an L. Maculata but i cant find one locally but i do have an O. Scyllarus (peacock) that is about a 5" female right now

but does anyone think that this aggression should be a concern, it was almost like he was attacking her last night thats what worried me, i want to say its just him being dominant but its getting kind of bad

well they stopped fighting! and the male dropped any and all aggression he had yesterday, he is more peaceful then my school of anthias! i cant believe the beauty of him too, and i used to hate triggers, but i just cant believe it, i like the bluethroats more then the crosshatches to tell you the truth
