Bonded McCulloch pair on DD

Anyone that pays that much for two fish needs to get their head checked.

$5999.99 for two fish

They look like babies, interesting just how bonded 6000 dollars gets you.
I know a lot of extremely hard work and time have gone into these fish so I can see why the price tag. But not for me just yet.:)

I'm kinda surprised. I've seen peeps here trying chrysopterus clowns over and over, only to maybe end up with one alive, that loses its color anyways.

Depending on your tax bracket, why would these tank bred, basically impossible to get wild, specimens be so crazy?

i wish i had 6000 dollars to spend on them lol. i think there cool but ill have to save my pennies and maybe when i'm thirty i can get a pair. my guess is there gonna be on there for a while.

Congrat's to mrblue for accomplishing something that at one time, must have seemed an impossibility. Also to the Drs. for offering such a rarity to the public.

Okay, I call bluff on this post on DD. LA is just trying to see what the market will bring. They are TB. Think about it. DO NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO BUY THESE. If they command a 6000 price tag and get it, they will remain at that amount.

Pretty sure LA coughed up a lot of money to get some of these in the states. Most ended up in Asia because they are more willing to pay. I'm suprised to see them at all.

I kind of like them! :D Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Definately have to have money to burn to buy those. Might be a great investment for a breeder tho.

Actually, they will remain at that amount only if they prove difficult or impossible to breed. LA stated in their forum that they have several pairs available, all themselves captive bred, so I assume breeding them is extremely possible, and in all likelhood, likely. Once these pairs get out, presumably, to some serious clownfish hobbyists, and the breeding starts, the price will certainly come down slightly, but I doubt much. LA has, as far as I know, the only three pairs imported to the US. There is no wild collection of these fish, so the price is what it is. Also, don't forget you are getting a pretty solid guarantee at LA also.
