Bonded pair of percs

Well i have a adult female perc. Nothing special, but she is huge, and a picasso. They have bonded, and share the BTA. They are never more than a few inches apart.
Well i tried to take the male and place it with my onyx. That did not end good. I had to remove the picasso because he started beating the crap out of the onyx. The onyx was submitting to the side like a male does. I believe its a male.
So i took out the picasso.
Is there any hope of the picasso bonding with the onyx, or should i sell off the pair, and let this one turn female and hunt down another nice picasso male or onyx pair?

If I'm not mistaken if you have a tank with only two males (in this case a picasso and an onyx if I followed your thread correctly) eventually within a few months one should change into a female.
What pair are you referring to when you say, sell off a pair? PM me regarding picasso potential mates, or if you may be willing to sell/trade your big female typical perc.

Sorry for the confusion. I have a pair of percs. One is a normal perc (Female) and the male is a picasso in one tank.
Then theres a onyx perc in another tank. I took out the picasso(Male from the bonded pair) and introduced him with the onyx.
The picasso is about a half inch smaller than the onyx, But is a whole inch smaller than the female he bonded with. It didnt end up good, and i had to remove the picasso.
Hope thats a little better. :)

Just leave the bonded pair as is, and let the male onyx turn female and grow a bit, say 60-90 days and try again. Also dont just take the picasso out and drop it in with the Onyx, let it sit alone for a day or so then try the introduction.
