Well, I wanted to say everything made it ok getting home, but sad to day some didnt. (the two I prepurchased!!!!) the Carolinia I got from gflat and the green birdsnest I got from Fishdoc both are showing signs of rtn!!:( :( the acro (I think a maroon milli) got from lady with the really really cold water, and the green digi I got from my table mate shocky both look excellent, and the nuclear green paly I got form ebd is opening. it did get bumped to the sand, so I will have to move it back to a new home. I did some re-arranging to accomodiate these little frags and now, I will be very very surprised if they make it. :(

hope everyone who got items form me has god luck with them.

I'd be very suprised if the birdsnest RTN'd. Are you sure you are not just seeing signs of where it was recently fragged?

Yeah, I lost a lokani 'cause the water was too cold and not enough of it in the bag.

when I reached Bowling Green, I took another bag and filled it half-full with hot hot water and placed it into the cooler with a heater pack. I think that helped dramaticially.

knowing how cold it was in the swap area for the first hour or so I snagged a $1 heat pack from someone and placed that in my cooler. Helped a lot for the trip home as well being how cold it was. All 15 of the frags I came home with including from fishdoc are doing great!

RWillieK- Thanks for the great deal on the Kalk Reactor! A Steal at 30 bucks I feel

I had heat packs but it was probably too late when I received it. Glad others had better luck, though. Not a huge loss, but is was a coral that I really wanted.

One of the tips of mine from Fishdoc has turned white - could just be shock from transport too.

Robbie
Which one?

yes, I am sure of what it is. patches of it coming off up on the branches and not just at the base.

Some of them had patches of white up the branches. The coral grows together kind of in a meshwork. If the tissue is coming off in sheets that of course is different. I am sorry if indeed it has. I'll be glad to replace it if you remind me next time I will see you.
I actually took back home one of the mille frags and one of the birdsnest and they look like I never took them out of the tank today. The only thing I could think of happening when they were in my care is the bag possibly tipping over in the cooler when there were only a couple left in there and the frag being exposed to air for an extended period. I tried very hard to prevent that though by not putting too much air in the bags and checking them periodically.

Unfortunately looks like a couple of mine are hurtin. The Pokerstar Monti has started loosing flesh in a couple of spots but still has most of it's polyps. My Superman just looks mad and a little washed out with no polyp extension still. I'm holding out hope on both of them though.

Unfortunately with the weather being like it is it's hard. I can't think of one frag swap in any type of weather where I didn't at least loose one that I brought home.

I brought home a couple small green birds nest frags that I didn't sell. I'll grow you one up for another day.

I hate that people are having tough luck with losing stuff, but everything I bought as well as my dad are all doing great and I think we bought from everybody there between the two of us. Chris I really wish I had reserved that rainbow for myself instead of my dad that thing is awesome, oh well at least I know where I will get a frag in the future = )

I've got a nice green birsdnest. I bought at last years frag swap. It is now larger than a fist. I might frag it here soon.

Well I just got a pic from Casey of his birdsnest and it's definately RTN. I apologize if that has happened to anyone else. If it does please LMK and I will replace it at the swap in Knoxville in June......or sooner if you want to come get it.
thanks, Chris

Doc, it aint your fault. i might have damaged it when I took it off the mount. that happens. If I cried over every coral I have lost, then I really dont need to be in this hobby. I will try to get a replacement next time you head this way, or I that way.

Steve,

If you are going to frag that I am just down the road off old nashville hwy and florence road..

Steve, we are off Burleson rd. about 1 block closer to smyrna from you. I will be out all week, but will be back saturday if you are wanting to frag it up. do you wanna trade something for it? I have hot pink with purple polyps and white tips birdsnest. an some green digi.

I crank up the heat blowing towards the bottom where the frags are. I had them in a container plus in a plastic bag. I was riding HOT in the car with the heat full blasted, even ran in the store to get some super glue and the car was still hot when I got back in after 20min later. I was wondering why my bag had water everywhere until I found one of my bag emptied out of water with just the coral sitting in the bag. I guess I got lucky that everything was fine and opened up pretty today except the frag demo zoo polyps, they're still ticked today.....Fishdoc, the coral I got from ya looks great, but I got another one of the samething from Tomoko without knowing it. Unless it gets hairier later??? It's suppose to be the super hairy green millie.....We'll see I guess.....

I'm not sure which one Tomoko brought. There are lots of green milles but I've kept the one you got from me because the polyps get ridiculously long compared to others. Hope they turn out to be different ones:)
