book recommendation

Hello all. I have a 30g laying around. I thought I would tie it into my sump. Can anyone recommend a book to get me started on keeping seahorse. Thanks

IMO, the seahorse keeping hobby is changing so fast any books are out of date for a lot of information by the time they get to print.
Seahorse forums are more up to date than the books.
Check the links at the bottom of "My Thoughts on Seahorse Keeping" for the basics.
Generally though, for best chances of success,
-keep a species only tank
-keep between 68° and 74°
-more water changes and better husbandry than a reef tank
-buy TRUE captive bred seahorses rather than tank raised or wild caught

Thanks Rayjay. I planned on it being a species only tank. They have fascinated me over the years. So I figured I would do some research to see if it would fit my time and energy since I have the other tank.

I wouldn't tie any seahorse tank to any existing tank, reef or fish only, even if it is only tied through a common sump. Maybe that's not what you have in mind though.

Yeah I thought I would share the sump. But I have the complete setup for the 30. Its own sump, skimmer it was my first set up many years ago. It is all collecting dust now.
