Any good books to read on reef chemistry?

That's a good question; I don't think I've ever seen one just for hobbyists. Some basics are probably mixed into the general reefing books though.

You could make the jump to biology books; I forget the name of the one I had but you can look at any of the "introduction to marine biology" books.

I am a Noob, so can't judge the quality, but I am enjoying reading it. Author bio is impressive.

Tullock I was a well known author back in the day (at least I can recall his name being brought up on relatively frequent occasions)

I found another good book in a local Used Bookstore - a little off-topic, but I think it is going to be extremely valuable swimming forward.

The Marine Fish Health and Feeding Handbook
ISBN 978-1-899087-95-1
Bob Goemans & Lance Ichinotsubo

Chapter 2 is all about water quality. This is the first book I have seen specifically addressing feeding, and treating maladies.
