Bored Clownfish?

Just today my clownfish started acting funny. But before I get into that let me give you some background info. I have a pair of clowns and a cardinal living in my 30 gallon. The tanks been running since the start of the new year, thse fish have been living happily in there for a little over a month.

So for the past day or so one of my clowns has just been sitting on the bottom of the tank, as if he is bored. When I walk over to the tank he springs back to life and goes about his business for a half hour or so then settles back down in the same spot. (the same spot he usually settles down in for the night as well) He is usually the more activite one in the tank, which worries me. He still eats like a pig and doesn't show signs of stress (heavy breathing). I'm puzzled as to why he's doing this.

Is this something I should be worried about or is it just him being a character?

hosting? . Mine lays in the sand against the glass at night and sleeps, If you didn't know any better, you'd think he was dead

I have 2 clown fish and my male does the same thing from time to time and shortly after I can see eggs laid on the glass or rock next to where he was laying.

He does look like he's dead Payton, thats why it concerns me haha He lays between the front glass and a rock in the sand. Do clownfish usually host a spot in the tank like that? the pair has only been together for about a month as I mentioned, is that really enough time for them to have babies?... Am I going to be a grandpa?!

No babies yet, but they will do stuff like that. I got one on the sand and the other floats, yes floats under the HOB filter return laying sideways.

haha okay good, i feel better now. what other fish would you guys recommend for my tank? I really like the clowns, they have alot of personality unlike the cardinal. I was thinking of getting sometype of goby, and a royal gramma and possibly a firefish.

Not sure which is best but here are the fish I have now:
1 Engineer Goby 11"-12"
1 Lawnmower Blenny 3-1/2"
1 Banggai Cardinal fish 2"
2 Pajama Cardinal fish 2"
1 Green Clown Goby 1"
1 Orange Clown Goby 1" added 4 mos ago
2 Yellow Clown Goby 3/4"
1 Orange Stripe Prawn Goby 2-1/2"
1 One Spot Fox face 3-1/2"
1 Klein's Butterfly 3-1/2"
2 Percula Clown fish F-2" M-1-1/2"
2 Green Reef Chromis 1-1/2" added 7 mos ago
1 Pseudo Aldabraensis 2-1/2"
1 Yellow Watchman Goby 3"
1 Black-striped coris Wrasse 3" added 8 mos ago
1 Blue Hippo Tang 3-1/2" added 6 mos ago
all have been living together for the last 3 years with no problems.
The clown fish spawn at lease once a month sometimes they hatch and I see little eyes looking at me in the dark when I use the flashlight. The yellow clown gobies spawn all the time they always have eggs on the glass but I don't see them hatch they just slowly disappear. The only fish I've had I would not recommend is a hawk fish any. Hope this helps you out some.
