Bored, Decided to find my exact spectrum...

I was bored, and decided to see just exactly how all my lights fused together and wanted to find the entire spectrum offered by my setup. Right now I'm running 4x54w T5's + 2x21.6w Blue LED fixtures

Mixed Par graphs of

T5 ATI Blue Plus
T5 ATI Purple Plus
T5 Coralife 10k
LED Aquatic Life ~460nm [blue] Fixture

:)

bluish white with a warm pink/purple tinge from the purple bulb.

I actually made the graph to see if my whites and blues were covering the bases, or if the purple bulb actually added anything.

Turns out from the graph above - the answer is no. The 2x10k bulbs have that spectrum and more of it.

Purple bulb was pure aethetics...

so I went back to another Blue Plus in it's place as I prefer the bluer tone to the tank :)

sure.

Purple Plus

Those are what I mixed to find the first par graph.

And while I'm at it, I might as well put up some other bulbs for people's perusing.

Fiji Purple and Grolux Purple (IF DO, GET ATI PURPLE PLUS <- LESS OF A RED SPIKE = LESS NUISANCE ALGAE)

LED Sol vs MH

I have lots of other lighting pics (par graphs of bulbs/mh) and info pics too (par of sun, then measured at depths, Kelvin, etc.) if anyone wants let me know.

The par of the sun, and measured at different depths, would be cool to reference. Where were they taken?

Thank you for providing the other graphs.

The last graph is hard to read which is which per the color line. Can you identify? It would greatly help those that have issues with LED's and had to go back to MH.

Sure. Sol vs MH re-uploaded.

and another fun comparison for your perusal.

Here is another pic I collected/modified representing light filtered @ depths - with the red line being drawn in at roughly 100 feet = more or less where photosynthetic corals fade out and non-photosynthetic corals take over.

These next two are from a video on Youtube that used to be called "reef aquarium lighting in depth" - an hour+ long presenter speaking solely on the topic of reef lighting. Great amazing video, but no longer up.

And filtered at depths...

Glad to share and help people :)
