I have the MSX200. I think the acrylic construction is very good. But my opinion is pretty worthless, because I have never owned a similar skimmer to use as comparison. I was very disappointed with the in-house modding Marine Solutions did on the pump. I am told they have improved their mods and I need to send mine back for a replacement still.
If the skimmer works as well as others report for the low price of $350, then its gonna be hard to beat. But I'm not sure a mesh mod pump was the correct route for them to take. A pinwheel would require less maintenance over the life of the skimmer, IMO. Of course, that would have added to the price...
