Boring Green Acropora

Often overlooked, but some of my favorite Acropora are green.

Can't get a good pic of the last one, it's a really cool blue/green and interesting growth form.

So, show us some of your favorite green Acropora!

Those are beauties … not boring to me at all.

The nicest macro shots of designer and LE Acro's make them look amazing … but from a distance they are actually quite bland looking to the untrained eye. When people show up and look at my tank, they love the orange caps, the digi's, and the green slimer's … they are the ones that pop the most under aquarium lighting.

We get caught up in the fanciness and rarity of an acro … but the average person looking at your tank just wants to see some color!

Great shots!

Almost forgot one, just recently accidentally fragged my highlighter stag and put it in front of my Setosa, provides a pretty cool contrast.

You're totally right, that highlighter stag is often the coral that non reefers like best in my tank. It's never the super high end and somewhat rare SPS

Contrasting color placement plays a very large part in making a display 'pop' regardless of the corals used or their perceived value or rarity on the acro scale (wank index). Great pics and nice placement of those pieces mate.

My fluoro green aculeus pieces are like glow in the dark blobs and always the first thing anyone seeing the display comments on. :)

Its not much yet, but it has decided to start growing

Excuse the dimness of the pic but fluoro lime green blows out color wise if i increase the brightness.

Dang that is Crazy green. I find that some people just cant stand green, But it looks great when mixed with red and blues for contrast. That would be a sweet addition to my tank.
